Class Information

All classes are held at the Markham-based Dance Studio, only minutes away from Toronto, Scarborough and Richmond Hill. Click here for location and contact information.

Hula - Level I
Class structure to focus on primary hula movements and body conditioning. As the year progresses, additional hula steps will be introduced. Students are expected to learn a few basic Hawaiian words, appropriate to their lessons.



Hula - Level II / III
An advanced level class structured to develop the student's understanding of Hawaiian culture and traditions, as well as strengthen their hula basics. Exercises on hula basics and body conditioning are essential parts of every class. This is a fast-paced environment with complex choreographies.



Hula - Level III
An advanced level class structured to strengthen the student's appreciation of Hula culture and traditions, including Hawaiian values and Hula etiquette, thereby reinforcing respect for the Hawaiian culture. Exercises on hula basics and body conditioning remain as essential parts of every class.



CREW Class
A select group of students are invited to learn additional dances while building on their stage presence and projection, with the possibility of representing the halau in public performances. Dancers in this class are not guaranteed participation in performances.
